Seems that in the 2 or so weeks since I posted that, the count’s gone up from 13,226 to 16,599.

Can that many people be wrong? Wait, there’s at least that many Bono fans. Scratch that.

Also, Blabbermouth.net has this little piece in which Ted Nugent calls Bono’s political views “embarrassing”:

Conservative rocker Ted Nugent recently told Launch Radio Networks that he disagrees with U2 singer Bono about the Irish singer’s campaign for Third World debt relief, as well as his support for total civilian disarmament. Asked what he would say to Bono in a conversation, Nugent replied, “I’m sure I would be civil, but I would bring those subjects up and go, ‘Come on. Come on! What part am I missing here?’ In Rwanda they have total disarmament. In the Sudan they have total disarmament. About 6,000 (people) died yesterday. Come on! It’s unbelievable. It’s the hippie, get high, drop out, as long as I feel good cult. It’s just embarrassing.”

That said, I’m going to ignore the fact that Nugent’s noted for his conservative political views and his vocal pro-hunting support. Just because he’s dissing Bono.

Anyone like the old Urban Dictionary?

For the uninformed, “Urban Dictionary is a slang dictionary with your definitions”. Mmmm, public submissions! The bread and butter of the intertubes!

Anyway, (as you may have guessed) there are some user definitions of “Bono” in there. I really couldn’t go past that first definition that popped up. That one up there. And I can appreciate that they put the usage in too.

Wannabe American, Irish narcissist, who reckons he has a God given right to preach at politicians about what’s wrong with the world while hoarding his own obscene wealth where taxes can’t touch him.
